Disproportionate distribution of money

With the advancement in technology and increasing literate population it is becoming very difficult for illiterate people to survive in such world. Without any technical skill, no one can find the good job. Even in agriculture new machines and high-tech equipment are required and being used to increase productivity.

Gap between rich and poor is more dangerous than Global warming: For rich people it is easier to give education to their kids or even if they didn’t complete education, their rich dad can arrange source of income for them. But for poor kids, there is only darkness! They do not know how they can finish education without money and even after finishing education if their grades are little less, whether they will get good job or not! They have to suffer for under under-qualified job.

We are living in a world where rich are becoming richer and poor are becoming poorer. On top of that, robots and artificial intelligence is reducing jobs. This scenario needs to be change. This is not the future we want for our coming generation. We need to find a mechanism to distribute wealth equally. There are two things we can do. First is for those employees who lost jobs due to automation must be compensated by providing some kind of pension from the profit company is earning by using automatic machines and AI. Second thing which can be done is by limiting maximum wealth a person can leave as legacy to hairs. We all earn everything from this world and from people living on it. Why should legacy be transferred to few people? It belongs to people from whom (S)he earns it. This rule must be implemented on billionaires. All excess money above the prescribed limit must go to charity or to government for welfare of poor family. This way we can reduce disproportionate distribution of money and live in better world.

Ten bitter truths

  • If you are not powerful, nobody cares whether you are right or wrong?
  • If you will not step forward, someone else will take your place.
  • Life is not fair, don’t expect what you deserve.
  • Do not confuse success with greatness. Even the worst people can be successful.
  • Victory can hide your sin, but certainly cannot eliminate them.
  • If you really want to repent, first accept punishment gracefully.
  • Money is good servant but a bad master
  • Survival for the fittest.
  • We do not see world as it exist, we see it as we want to perceive.
  • If you do not ask, answer will always be No.

Very Important information for Parents with newly born babies:

For babies and kids healthy Hemoglobin (HGB) level is 12 to 16 unit. In one-year-old babies, milk alone (Whether mother’s milk or cow milk) is not sufficient to maintain this level and if you will not start giving your babies other foods besides milk, your baby can develop deficiency of Iron and other nutrient. This deficiency can cause several problems like- improper growth of child, irritation , lack of attention and tiredness etc.

When it comes to how much iron children need, it is different at every age.

  • When an infant is breastfeeding, he or she will get their iron from their mom. When they are around 4 to 6 months old they should begin consuming iron fortified cereal. If the infant is not being breastfed they should be on a formula that is iron fortified.
  • From 7 to 12 months of age, infants need 11 milligrams each day of iron.
  • Children up to 4 years of age need 7 milligrams of iron every day and kids from 4 to 8 years of age need 10 milligrams. When kids get closer to the teen years, from 9 to 13, they need around 8 milligrams every day.
  • Boys older than 13 will need to have about 11 milligrams of iron every day and girls will need 15 because of their menstrual cycle.
  • If your young teen is involved in intense sports or exercise on a regular basis, they may need more iron.

For non vegetarian families, meat and chicken are good source of Iron that can be absorbed easily by our body. If HGB is too low (6-7 Unit) Iron supplement with the recommendation of Doctor to be given to child.

Start giving balanced diet to your babies as old as one year to avoid any type of deficiency. Instead of giving more milk try to give your baby fruits, vegetables, meat, pulses, nuts etc. 700 ml milk is adequate for babies eating other food too.

Your child may become anemic if his or her body:

  1. Does not produce enough red blood cells. This can happen if she does not have enough iron or other nutrients in her diet (e.g. iron-deficiency anemia).

2. Destroys too many red blood cells. This type of anaemia usually happens when a child has an underlying illness or has inherited a red blood cell disorder (e.g. sickle-cell anemia).

3. Loses red blood cells through bleeding. This can either be obvious blood loss, such as heavy menstrual bleeding, or long-term low-grade blood loss, perhaps in the stool.

What are the common signs and symptoms of anemia?

Pale, gray, or “ashy” skin (also, the lining of the eyelids and the nail beds may look less pink than normal)

Irritability

Mild weakness

Tiring easily

Children experiencing red blood cell destruction may become jaundiced (yellowing of the skin or eyes)

Children with severe anemia may have additional signs and symptoms:

Shortness of breath

Rapid heart rate

Swollen hands and feet

Children with anemia caused by very low levels of iron in their blood may also eat strange things such as ice, dirt, clay, and cornstarch. This behavior is called “pica” (pronounced pie-kuh). It is not harmful unless your child eats something toxic, such as lead paint chips. Usually the pica stops after the anemia is treated and as the child grows older.

If your child shows any of these signs or symptoms, please see your pediatrician. Even a low-level of anemia can affect your child’s energy, focus, and ability to learn. Chronic iron deficiency anemia can result in long-term, permanent impairment of development. In most cases, a simple blood count can diagnose anemia.

One more important information about Iron deficiency is that don’t give more calcium as it blocks iron absorption in our body. Give citrus fruits like Oranges which helps in increasing iron absorption by our body.

So please don’t live in fool’s paradise thinking milk alone is sufficient for growing babies! No, it’s not! Develop their habit to eat with you, even if you have to force them initially.

Disclaimer:  The above article is only for information to help parents understand importance of iron in food of babies. Only Doctors are qualified to diagnose and treat. I am not a Doctor. Information I collected based on my personal experience and various medical websites for spreading awareness.

To mark four years in office, the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre has released advertisements in newspapers across the nation. The ads are designed to remove any doubts about “Hindi imposition”. The Hindi tagline is in Roman script even in language newspapers. ‘Saaf Niyat, Sahi Vikas’ Due to paucity of space—and because the Narendra […]

Love all, hate none.

Often times we live in isolation with other communities and over a period of time, based on propaganda or news about very small group or people, we make a negative image in our mind about whole community. We became typical stereotype. In most of the cases we are wrong about our opinion. When we start meeting more and more peoples of any community we realise that they are more like us or infect, in some cases, better than us. Talk to peoples having different opinions. Debate with them using soft word and hard arguments. Then only you will learn whether your opinions were true or false. Do not hide behind your private wall and believe you are right. keep your mind open for new ideas.

World does not exist in black and white. World is colourful. Go around; meet different people in public places. Do not hate the whole community just because you heard negative news about few peoples of that community. Not all peoples are good or bad, there are some good peoples and few bad peoples in every community. Do not hold prejudices about anyone without meeting and knowing about them.

Hate is not the solution; it can only make things worse. No one born good or bad, our situation makes us and shapes us as good or evil. In my school, there was a quote written on the wall from Bhagwat Gita “Hate the sin not the sinner”. It contains profound wisdom. Suppose there is a person who was involved in substance abuse. Later he come out of that dirty world and wants to start new normal life. As he left his bad habit, he is no more a bad person. Unfortunately, there will be people around him in society, who will not treat him nicely. They will not meet him nor let anyone to be friend with him.  When a person left bad habit, he is no longer a bad person. We must treat him nicely and give him due respect as we give to other.

Love and kindness have great power. It can melt the heart and change the mind. Spread love and kindness. We all are human. Our misunderstanding make us different, otherwise we all are same. Love is a profitable business, whereas hate only has losses. Love everyone. Treat them as human being like you. Your love, care, support and empathy has power to change people mind and heart.

Look at the world and its beauty; feel it and live it. Do not submit all your faculties to blind faith, and do not live a lame life. The world will be a much better place without prejudices and stereotype. Learn, educate, and search for the evidence before believing anything. It happens all the time that we believe something, but then, later on, we come to realise it is incorrect. “Oh! This is not the truth!” we may then say. So the right way is to be sceptical: value others’ views, and don’t just stick with your opinion, especially when all evidence and hard facts goes against it.

Cars: Fuel cell Vs Electric

Electric car-makers like Tesla, are constructing mega factories for mass production of Li-ion batteries to reduce the price of cars. On other hand Japanese companies are investing heavily on hydrogen Fuel cell technology. This race is not about who will come first, rather who will sustain in global market finally. Presently and decisively Electric vehicle driven by Li-ion batteries are leading the trend with reduction in battery pack price and increase use of solar energy. Electric vehicles made lot of improvement in recent time. Much of it can be attributed to Tesla-first electric car-maker who took concept of electric cars much seriously than any other car-maker. They set very high standard for electric cars and make much needed improvement to compete with traditional IC engine cars running on gasoline. Charging time reduced from hours to several minutes. Mileage too increased considerably. All these improvement made Electric Vehicle ( EV) a better solution to IC engine causing pollution. EV do not cause air or sound pollution and they are safe car. However, they need electricity to charge batteries. Sometimes electricity is produced by burning coal, which again cause pollution. Solar power is a workable solution. However, with present efficiency of solar cell, it will be difficult to fulfill future domestic demand. Thus, electric vehicles are not the best solution for future in developing countries where managing domestic electricity demand is a challenge.

In future, people will prefer car with inbuilt energy powerhouse. A car, which can run longer than normal electric vehicle and IC engine without creating pollution and have a safe quick re-filling. As soon as hydrogen or any other fuel cell meet these criteria then that will be the turning point in history of Fuel cell vehicle (FCV). At present, peoples are concern about safety of using hydrogen as fuel. Of course, electric vehicle are safest compared to FC and IC engine. Nevertheless, with advancement in technology, fuel cell will become safer than IC engine, which we used for decades. The biggest obstacle for fuel cell cars is filling station, which require lot of money in establishment. Without filling stations, no one will buy such cars. Slowly but surely as filling station will increase, demand for FCV will increase too. With improvement in technology and mass production, price of cars fitted with Fuel cell will decrease considerably.

As we have saying, “Slow and steady wins the race” it is possible that future belongs to Fuel cell Vehicle. Batteries are temporary solution. If we find a way to fill a vehicle directly from hydrogen cylinders then we can cut off expansive filling station requirement too.Normally a FCV requires 35-90 MPA pressure. In market, cylinders are available up to 90MPa as well. We only need a hose pipe with connector to fill the Car tank. Some innovative ideas required to make FCT a feasible reality. Japan is investing hugely to make improvement in fuel cell. Only future will tell which technology will pass the test of time.

Can we destroy Currency?

Lot of people consider that every time money is spent on some seemingly no profitable work, money is wasted. For example: Elections and wedding parties. However, money spent is not necessarily money waste. Actually, every time someone spent a big amount of money it boosts the economy. Money is wasted when it is destroyed without information. The worst thing for economy is when people keep money stored in their homes or in Swiss bank as black money. If you stop circulation of huge amount of money, it will drastically affect economy of country.

Irrespective of popular notion that when we spent money extravagantly, we are ruining our country wealth, the truth is we must support every such event. Let us take the example of election. In digital India, elections are also digitalized. 24 x 7 you can see advertisements of political parties on electronic and print media. In four years, Modi Government spent total of Rs 4,343.26 crore on advertisements and publicity through different media, according to a RTI. This money could have been used for some more important works too, but it will be wrong to state that this money is wasted. Money only changed hands. While changing hands a fraction of it will go to poor labourers, spot boys, technicians, wall painters and junior artists. Though, that might not be the intention but it is by-product of publicity expenditure. Thus, money spend on publicity is not wasted. It just moved from a political entity to media houses and their workers, journalist, technicians and artist.

Similarly, in marriages, when people spent lot of money, this money does not go anywhere. It just changes hands. More importantly, in some cases, black money entered into circulation once again.

The question that arises in mind is how money is actually wasted or destroyed. Talking literally, if you burn money without informing government, it will be lost permanently and it will cause deflation. Deflation means cost of goods will decrease. Since only small percentage of net wealth is in the form of currency, burning few notes will not create any effect. However, please note that, burning currency notes is illegal in many countries.  Even if your currency is damaged during natural disaster or otherwise, you can send it for replacement. Never throw or destroy any denomination of currency notes.

Let us take another example: An aeroplane is destroyed in mid-air with 100 passengers. All died on board and plane was lost in Deep Ocean. Suppose cost of plane was 1 million $. Is this 1 million $ destroyed? No, it’s not. Cost of plane is determining by the material and labour used. When you purchased the plane, you paid its full cost. When the plane was destroyed, your individual wealth reduced, but not the currency in circulation. Hence, we can say that individual’s wealth keep increasing or decreasing, but money does not decrease. Money only changes hands.

GOD means Christian God.

First of all thanks for those people who piss me off by their flawed arguments and illogical content. It gives me new ideas to write a new post. This Post is about concept of God in various religion and culture and how wrongly we start writing or talking about God without explaining first which God we are talking about? There are theist, deist and agnostics. All of them believe in some kind of creator. However, every group has different concept of creator. Even in each group, different religion has different views or belief about Creator.

Normally, we do not translate names when we translate text from any language to English. However because of Christianity being most populous religion and English being international language from centuries the word God is being used for all Gods of different religions and even for Gods with different attributes. Not only that, it also has a plural and feminine form. I will use Supreme Being for the God in this post to differentiate the God of Christianity from other religion.

In Islam Supreme Being is known as Allah. Allah ever exists. He is neither created nor born not will die. He does not have any wife, son, daughter, mother or father.  He is the one, nothing is like him nor is he like anything.

“He did not beget (give birth) and He was not begotten (given birth to).” (Surat Al-Ikhlas, Chapter 112, verse 3).

There are many other attributes of Allah which need to be considered to properly define who Allah is. For example, Allah is forgiving, merciful, just, omnipotent and omnipresent. He has not made any demigod or goddess or anyone who has share in his powers.

There is a mark difference in the definition of Allah and Christian God. A Christian God first and foremost is believed to have a begotten son. The Son himself is a god! Not only that, there is a holy spirit which is also part of God himself. In this way, Christians believe in trinity.  Hence, translating God as Allah or Allah as God is wrong practice.

Coming to Hinduism, Hindus also have concept of one Parabrahman or Supreme Being. However, his nature is unknown. He created other Gods and goddess who took birth on earth as their Avatars. Like Ram and Krishn were believed to be Avatars. One of my fellow blogger told me “ There are five eternal entities. (1)Jiva – the creatures, (2) Ishwar- the deities which include indra, brahma, Vishnu, Shiva and all. (3)Maya- the only non living entity which controls time and our actions.  (4)Brahman (Akshar/chidakash/satchitanand) the cause of creation of infinite universes. (5) Parabrahman/Purna-purushottam/Adi Vishnu : the one who transcends all and even Akshar. Although Akshar is the highest entity, Purna Purushottam is the one who transcends Akshar.”

From above, you can see there is not just one God doing everything in hindu mythology. There are layers of God. Translating Hindu God as “God” is wrong. However, people do it all the time for simplicity or because of influence of English and Christian religion. It is like translating Modi as Trump in English. It is absurd to translate names. It is more absurd when we translate any other religious deity or supreme being as God. Before starting any argument or debate about God, we must first define which God we are talking about!
